Wednesday, the big girls took the afternoon off and went shopping with the grandmother for the big father-daughter dance this weekend. These girls are going to be beautiful!!! Thursday we were home and today we had errands to run.
Somewhere along the way we got the 3Rs done in some form or fashion. And, we actually finished our history assignments for the week!! I am actually surprised we got as much accomplished as we did.
~ Katie spent the week reviewing her addition facts ...we will start subtraction next week!!
~ Mary is working on measuring (inches & centimeters), she also completed two multiplication review sheets
~ Emily continues to work on greater than & less than
~ Katie & Mary both completed their writing assignments for the week. Mary enjoyed the excerpt from Time Cat so much that we had to go get it from the library.
~ Continued our study of the Moon for science
~ Mary continued working on her online phonics program~ Katie worked on long-a words
~ Emily worked on blends at the end of words
~ Katie worked on proper nouns in grammar
~ Mary worked on possessive nouns & objective pronouns in her grammar lessons
~ Studied the French Revolution in history
~ Watched a Universe program on Venus & Mercury on Hulu.
~ Tonight we are watching Phantom of the Opera
I think that is about it and I am ready to curl up on the sofa with a few children
