Brrrr! It is still cold. I feel like I was lied to today, so excited that the temps were going to be in the upper '40s with sunshine. Instead we've had upper 30s and clouds. I'm so over this cold snap and instead of getting more used to it, we are becoming more sensitive.

This morning it took three tries of playing

in order to wake the girls up this morning. They did not want to leave their comfy, warm spots.

On those brave excursions outside we have seen a HUGE number of birds wintering here. Lots of pretty flashes of red against the gray and brown backdrop that has been our world.

A few members of the house can sit for hours outside watching them.

Off to continue my job as a tax driver.
